Thermal and dielectric properties of carbon nanotubes/graphite/polyester ternary composites

Binary and ternary composites were synthesized using a polyester matrix reinforced by two types of carbon inclusions, namely, nanotubes (CNT) graphite (Gt) (CNT/Gt/Polyester). Thermal analyses performed, thermogravimetry differential scanning calorimetry, which allowed us to observe significant changes in glass transition temperatures degradation the composites. Dielectric measurements performed frequency range from 100 Hz 1 MHz temperature –33 107°C. The dielectric permittivity values CNT/Gt/Polyester composites, compared Gt/Polyester binary indicate that addition CNT particles system significantly improved permittivity, due enhanced interfacial polarization host matrix, while dependence electrical modulus spectra revealed Maxwell–Wagner–Sillars relaxation process was found follow Cole–Davidson approach.
